Motoshinkei is the website of a workshop that restores and sells traditional Japanese clocks, or wadokei clocks. The site introduces restoration techniques for old clocks from the Edo to Meiji periods, and explains in detail the process of restoration by hand by craftsmen. The site also includes a column on the history of Japanese clocks and the view of time.
