The site is an early childhood education and developmental support center operated by Atago Gakuen in Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture. The program targets children from age 0 to elementary school, and has a system in place to provide individualized support for children with developmental disabilities.
Services include "developmental diagnosis," "speech therapy," and "intelligence development training," with professional staff providing comprehensive guidance in collaboration with families and schools. A particular strength of the program is "learning through play," and we have developed methods to foster cognitive and communication skills using block play and square-colored costume play.
At "information seminars" for parents, we explain "developmental variations" and "how to provide support at home" to help alleviate concerns. Many families have commented that they were relieved to see changes in their children.
